COMPANY BACKGROUND

What’s in a name?

Agapanthus. From the Greek for flower of love. A lily that grows in every local garden is now serving as the symbol for a gift and accessories boutique in Gainesville, Florida. Owner Paula King is inspired by the flower’s relaxed elegance, choosing it to represent her approach to beauty in everyday living.

Opened in December 2013, the boutique features a mix of vintage and distinctive brands in categories that include ladies jewelry, handbags and accessories, bath and body products, baby gifts, tableware, and home accents appealing to the styles and tastes of all ages and budgets.

Agapanthus represents an expansion for King, who joined her business background with her passion for home in 2007 when she and Carmen Greiner created Ocala Traditions and OcalaTraditions.com, located in downtown Ocala, Florida.

Creating an exciting in-store experience with robust e-commerce is the core of Agapanthus. Within the boutique, King has created Aggie Lane, a gift registry for tableware and home brands where people may register for gifts in-store and online. “Online is convenient, but a true understanding of the quality of any product only happens through touch. Customer service only happens with conversation. We seek to be the place where virtual reality and reality meet for maximum customer service in the pursuit of beauty. Everyday.” A cross section of brands includes Crislu, Seda France, Juliska, Mariposa, Vietri, Good Earth Pottery, Fermob, Kate Spade, Simon Pearce, Waterford, Vera Wang, and others.

BRAND ASSETS

Agapanthus strongly enforces proper brand standards including our logo, colors, photography and brand design elements. If you have any questions, please contact our store owner, Paula King, at 352.672.6004 or Paula@ShopAgapanthus.com.

The Agapanthus and Aggie Lane logos should not be altered in any way, including distorting or stretching to resize, changing colors or displaying the logo on its side.

EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) or vector images are resolution independent and may be enlarged without deterioration. Vector images provide crisp, clean lines at any size and are our preferred artwork for logo usage.

JPG (Joint Photographers Experts Group) were originally developed for compressing and decompressing digital photos. It supports 24 bits of color information and provides RGB (red, green, blue) color builds. It does not support transparency. If used for offset printing, make sure the compression quality is set to “high” and resolution is at least 300 dpi.

Web Optimized These are already sized for use on websites. The PNG (Portable Network Graphic) is a bitmap image file format that supports transparency and removes the background from the image file to allow the logo to be placed on a color background without a white background around it.
